**Remember, stomach needs to be pretty empty to practice asana properly.

First position - STRETCH POSE: Lying on your back, lift your head and heels 6 inches ONLY from the floor, arms straight by the side of the body with your palms facing the sides of your thighs. Looking at your toes begin the BREATH OF FIRE. ( Same as long deep breathing as described on the BREATHING section of
this website, however the breath cycles are deep and very rapid with equal parts of inhales and exhales. Proper yogic breathing is essential for correct results so be sure to understand the yogic BREATHING page completely before you startthis asana series.)

Now continue BREATH OF FIRE FOR 1 TO 3 minutes and then inhale, hold the breath and exhale relax the position and the breath. Rest on your back completely and allow the pranic lifeforce energy to energize and circulate throughout your entire body. Enjoy as you relax completely into the flow of your slow, very deep breathing. Eyes closed. Peaceful.
Now inhale and repeat the STRETCH POSE. If you need to stop and take little breaks - that’s just fine. We are tuning energy pathways and stregthening nerve channels that may have been unused for many years, so don’t be suprised if youneed some breaks. Your energy system will gain tremendous strength as youcontinue to practice on a regular basis. In fact, in the practice of activating the Kundalini, it is essential that we take meditative resting breaks to allow the pranic heat to heal and balance our cellular structure and prepare us for the next stage and level of preparation for the Kundalini’s slow and steady ascent through the chakras.
