The Florida Institute for Integrated Yoga Studies (FIFIYS) program is designed to support you in becoming a professionally qualified and certified yoga teacher. By completing our program, you will receive your certification and automatically be qualified for listing in the Yoga Alliance National Registry of Yoga Teachers, either at the 200-hour or the 500-hour level.
What does FIFIYS offer you?
- self-paced, individualized study
- weekend workshops with nationally known master teachers
- a safe and sacred space for self-exploration and transformation
- a supportive faculty who offer positive, constructive feedback
- the opportunity to find and develop your own teaching style
- credit for previous training
- choices of which weekend workshops you wish to attend
- a program approved by the National Yoga Alliance
The FIFIYS program is designed to help adults learn easily and well. The design is one of self-paced study and individual responsibility for learning.
We have concluded that effective teacher training must be done over an extended period of time so that participants can practice, read, reflect, experiment, and grow. The training weekends feature master teachers who have different styles, methods, and approaches to teaching. We want you to see and appreciate these differences as you develop your way of teaching.
We also want to honor and acknowledge the unique skills and abilities of everyone who enters the program by supporting you in becoming a well grounded, well informed, highly effective Yoga teacher. What this means is that we will work with you to help you fulfill your own particular needs and interests. We will not expect you to repeat what you have already mastered. |
